    Hugh Bloore Memorial Poster Prize

    The Hugh Bloore Poster Award is made at the NZIMLS Annual Scientific Meeting to the person judged to have the best scientific poster presentation. The annual award was made possible through the generosity of Hugh's family in honour of their late father's passion for science and learning. NZIMLS have continued the tradition by presenting the prize which is to the value of $1,000.00. All Members of the NZIMLS are eligible for the award. The award must be used to support attendance at a scientific meeting or be used for research.


    Hugh Bloore was a foundation Member of the NZ Association of Bacteriologists. He rose from elected Council Member in 1954 to President in 1963. Hugh was a Fellow and in 1982 was awarded Life Membership of the NZIMLS. Hugh Bloore Poster Prize Information

    BMLSc Student Awards

    Offered annually by the NZIMLS for student academic achievement during the third year of the BMLSc degree. The award is made to students at each of the two universities in NZ offering the BMLSc qualification and is provided in support of the recipient's final clinical training year in the BMLSc programme.
