    About the role:


    Our Microbiology Department is currently searching for a dedicated, enthusiastic and competent Medical Laboratory Technician. This is a Permanent Full Time position of 80 hours per fortnight. 




    You will be willing to learn new skills, work well alone and as part of a team. Extremely well organised, detail-oriented and friendly with a strong focus on quality and customer service. The successful applicant must have a high degree of accuracy and be self-sufficient in order to excel in this role.




    To succeed in this role you will need:




    The ability to work in a methodical manner adhering to strict quality procedure guidelines

    A team focus with initiative, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and possess the ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment

    Excellent attention to detail, with good record keeping skills

    The ability to work independently, while in a supported role

    Registration with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand and a current Annual Practicing Certificate are advantageous, but not essential.

    Available to work rostered and rotating weekends and evenings. Please note these hours attract penal rates.
