Institute of Biomedical Science

Diploma in Expert Practice in Histological Dissection

In 2015 the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS) in the United Kingdom and the New Zealand Institute of Medical Laboratory Science (NZIMLS) reached agreement to allow NZIMLS Members to enrol in the IBMS Diploma in Expert Practice in Histological Dissection. Details of the agreement are contained in the Diploma in Expert Practice in Histology which was released by the NZIMLS in January 2016.

This will be of interest to those working in the Histology section of the laboratory providing opportunities for advanced study toward a qualification in histological dissection. It is hoped that this agreement opens the way forward for a closer working relationship between the IBMS and the NZIMLS.
