About the Role | Mō te tūranga:

Our Immunology department is looking for an enthusiastic and competent Medical Laboratory Scientist. This is a permanent, full-time position, working 80 hours fortnightly. The Immunology Department is multifaceted, providing all the testing for Infectious Serology, Autoimmune, Allergy and Flow Cytometry for Capital & Coast, Hutt Valley, Wairarapa and Taranaki DHBS. The department offers the successful applicant an opportunity to work with some of the latest available technology in the field.

• The ability to work in a methodical manner, adhering to strict quality procedure guidelines.
• A team focus with initiative, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• Excellent attention to detail, with good record-keeping skills.
• The ability to work independently and able to participate in on-call and out-of-hour shifts as per the roster provided.
• Registration with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand and a current Annual Practising Certificate.
• Eligibility to work in NZ.
