About the role | Mō te tūranga:
Lead the Core Laboratory, which processes biochemistry, immunology, and haematology samples, by working closely with section leaders and a dedicated team to ensure high-quality services and foster an open, collaborative, and supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Coach and mentor team members to support their growth and development by providing technical advice, training, and education.
Organise and prioritise workflow efficiently to meet both the company's and clients' requirements effectively
About you | He kōrero mōu
To be successful in this role you need to have:
Registered as a Medical Laboratory Scientist with a specialisation in Biochemistry or Haematology.
Ideally a minimum of 7 years of experience as a registered scientist preferably in automated core laboratory.
At least 3 years supervisory and/or staff management experience.
Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
Demonstrated technical expertise and a thorough understanding of laboratory protocols, practices and accreditation requirements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective collaboration and rapport with team members and stakeholders.
Flexibility to work Monday to Friday from 8 am to 7 pm, with potential after-hour support as required.
