About the role | Mō te tūranga:

We are currently seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist or Technician to join our Haematology team. This is a permanent, part-time position of 40 hours fortnightly.


You will be eager to develop new skills and adapt to the specialised field of haematology, working effectively both independently and collaboratively. Highly organised, detail-oriented, and approachable, you will demonstrate a strong commitment to quality and patient care. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional accuracy, strong analytical skills, and the initiative to excel in this precise and demanding role.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accurate record-keeping skills.
  • The capability to work independently while contributing effectively within a supportive team structure.
  • Flexibility with working hours to meet the needs of the team.
  • Sound knowledge of laboratory operations, including safety protocols, equipment operation, and preferably hands-on practical experience in haematology.
  • Registration with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand and a current Annual Practicing Certificate as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Technician.
  • Eligibility to work in New Zealand.
