Medical Laboratory Scientist - Histology

We are seeking a motivated and detail focused Medical Laboratory Scientist - Histology to join our Laboratory team at Hawkes Bay Hospital. In this role, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality diagnostic histology services, performing tests, procedures and associated tasks with precision, consistency and scientific integrity.

Working within validated methods and strict quality standards, youll be responsible for processing specimens, operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, prioritising workloads, and supporting the smooth and efficient functioning of the histology department. You will also be expected to follow laboratory protocols, uphold the Laboratory Quality Manual and participate in continuous improvement activities.

This role requires strong technical accuracy, professional judgement and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of practice, ethics and patient safety.
