An opportunity has arisen for an experienced, enthusiastic and self-motivated medical laboratory scientist to lead and manage our Anatomical Pathology (Histology) and Mortuary departments during an exciting period of growth and change at Waikato Hospital Laboratory.

The successful candidate must be able to hold registration with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in leading others. A positive and optimistic attitude is essential to this important leadership role.
The Waikato District Health Board is one of the largest providers of public healthcare in New Zealand, serving a population of 700,000. Waikato Hospital, located in Hamilton, is the major tertiary referral hospital for the region providing specialised and emergency medicine with the capacity for 700+ inpatients as well as outpatients. The Waikato Hospital Anatomical Pathology Laboratory processes over 17,000 surgical cases per year.
Hamilton is New Zealand’s largest inland city, lying in the heart of Waikato dairy country and astride the mighty Waikato River.
